Kids Clay Play with Blueprint Coffee

[PT. 1 Pasta Party]

This event is intended for parents and kiddos alike. All ages are welcome. Activities are designed for kids ages 2-6.

  • we will begin with pasta-related story time

  • the theme prompts structured imaginative play

  • clay play provides new sensory experiences. we will share prompts and helpful ways of handling the material while creating space to let their intuition guide them

Paint a Planter Workshops with Flowers & Weeds

$75

Use colorful slips to paint a small, wheel-thrown planter and saucer made by Molly of Boda Clay. A 3” plant from Flowers & Weeds, and Glaze and Firing services are included with your ticket!

Your planter will be glazed and available for pickup in 3-4 weeks.

This workshop is BYOB, meaning bring your favorite beverage to class to sip while you paint!

Hand Building Workshops at ‘SSIPPI

$65

This class is perfect for those interested in exploring the medium of clay. You will learn skills you can build upon and create space for exploration and play.

This class will take place on the back patio of 'SSIPPI; please check the weather & dress accordingly.

A drink credit is included with each ticket. N/A options available.

Explore our Pinterest boards for inspiration, or follow your creative whims. I will teach hand-building techniques to use to create your designs. Projects for this workshop should be roughly the size of your hand.

Glaze and firing services are an additional $15 per project. Only keep her if you love her!

Palettes, Platters, and Trays Workshop with wine from ‘SSIPPI

$55

Learn various hand-building methods to create a gorgeous platter. It could be used to serve snacks, a home for jewelry and knick nacks, a paint palette, a rolling tray, the list goes on.

Explore our Pinterest Board for more inspiration, or follow your creative whims.

This class is perfect for those interested in exploring the medium of clay. We will begin our platters with slabs and then use pinching and carving depending on the aesthetic you hope to achieve. Learn skills you can build upon and create space for exploration & play.

This workshop will take place in the Boda Clay Studio in Dutch Town. Light Snacks and a Glass of Wine from ‘SSIPPI are included with your ticket.

 Six-Week Hand-Building Class

[Focus on Tableware]

This syllabus explores several hand-building methods and how these techniques work together. 

Over several weeks, you will have time and inspiration to plan and build projects, and you will have the opportunity to decorate and/or glaze your own projects. This class is designed for both beginners and intermediates. 

When

Sundays* from 1-4 pm, August 3rd- Septmeber 14th, 2025

Projects:

This course focuses on tableware, but students are welcome to create alternative projects if inspiration strikes.

Aug 10 Slab Serving Bowl/Platter & Sculpted Candle Stick Holder or Bud Vase

Aug 24 A set of matching items. Students will use the method of their choice.

Glaze and firing services are an additional $15 per project. Estimated cost $75 for the session.

Refreshments: Mugs, tea, honey, light snacks, and bottle openers are provided. Feel free to BYOB.

Additional Open Studio Hours: This course includes three hours of open studio time. You have the option to purchase 10 hours of open studio time, which can be used within 3 months of completing this course. This can be added at any time during the session.

 Wheel Coaching

 
 
 

Private and duet wheel coaching sessions with studio tech, Carolyn Simson.

Coaching sessions are two hours long and include materials, tools, glaze, and firing for three pieces. To make the most of our time, we do not ask you to clean up.

These sessions are designed for

A) As an introduction to the wheel and a fun experience.

B) For intermediate potters to learn a new skill, get some feedback to improve.
